Bio

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Matthew Morrison brings a disciplined, mission-focused approach to every client matter—an ethos shaped by over two decades of military and legal experience. Straight out of high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served as an Infantry Platoon Sergeant with three overseas deployments, including Iraq.

After earning his degree magna cum laude from Chapman University in 2010, Matthew Morrison returned to the Marines in 2009 (yes, he did it all), shifting his focus to military law enforcement and legal administration. His service included roles as a Military Police Supervisor at Camp Pendleton and Quantico, Staff Judge Advocate Legal Chief, Company Gunnery Sergeant, and ultimately Company First Sergeant in Red Bank, New Jersey.

He earned his Juris Doctor from George Mason University in 2015 and has since built a broad legal resume. From running his own solo firm to working in larger law offices, and serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Arlington, Virginia, Matthew Morrison has developed a deep understanding of both civil and criminal law across a range of settings.

Admitted to practice before the Virginia Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals, he now returns to private practice—bringing with him a wealth of courtroom experience, tactical thinking, and a deep commitment to justice.

He is actively involved in the American Legion and the DC Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and previously served as a director on the Prince William County Bar Association Board of Directors.

Outside the office, Matthew Morrison is a student of American history, an avid home chef, a wine enthusiast, and a self-taught auto mechanic. He can even occasionally be persuaded to grab a microphone for karaoke.
